Announcing House of Forgotten Souls

I’m so excited to announce my next fantasy duology based on Korean mythology, the first book, House of Forgotten Souls, comes out Winter 2027 with Bloomsbury! It has Korean mythology, jeoseung saja (Korean reapers), ghosts, and shamans.
If you read my Gumiho duology, Wicked Fox and Vicious Spirits, then you met two side characters: a mudang (Korean shaman) and a reaper. I originally wanted to write a third book in the series that would explore more about both. That book never came to fruition, but HoFS and its sequel became my chance to do that. Some people say things happen when they’re meant to, and I felt that was the case with this duology, because when I was ready to draft it, I also had the added benefit of having real-life mudang contacts who I could consult with about their practices.
